7.15.2010: hot as hades.
Greetings all! It has been a while because as usual, I've been mega busy with teaching, weddings, and the studio.

However, I am pleased to announce that I have three shows coming up:

The first is the smallest and opens tomorrow (7.16) at the Brooklyn Art Library- me and some of my students participated in their "Great Art House Print Exchange." If you don't know about the Art House Co-Op, check them out HERE.

The second is a group show called "Unbound" at the Coleman Burke Gallery in New York City. It opens next week, Thursday July 22nd and runs through August 28th. It features me and my Penn State MFA colleagues and it's sure to be an interesting exhibition with a variety of work.

The third and final is my own M.F.A. thesis exhibition! As of right now it's still untitled, but the exhibition will open on Thursday, August 26th at Penn State's Zoller Gallery. I am sharing the spare with new media artist Li Ge and the show will run until Monday, September 6th. I'm very excited to exhibit a whole crop of brand new work :)
4.13.2010: april showers bring may flowers.
Spring is here- and so are updates!

In March, I attended my first Southern Graphics Conference as it was in Philadelphia. It was a great experience- saw fantastic artwork all over the city, learned some new techniques, and met some great printmakers! I really hope to attend another one soon.

This semester I've been taking a course in installation art and it has definitely been shaping my current print work. I will be adding a new section soon to include images of this new body of work.

I've added some new imagery to the "prints" section, including some mixed media pieces I've finally finished up!

Event wise, I will be participating in two summer craft events in Philadelphia:

Crafty Balboa: April Showers is on Saturday, April 24th from 12pm to 5pm at The Passyunk Fountain at Tasker & Passyunk Ave. It is a rain or shine event held in conjunction with 2010 Flavors of the Avenue. I will be having a spring clearance sale and discounting a lot of my inventory to make room for new work- come out and take advantage of it!

Art for the Cash Poor 11 by InLiquid at the Crane Arts Building is from 1-6pm on BOTH Saturday, June 12th and Sunday, June 13th. This event is ALWAYS a blast- come out and support local artists!

Thanks for stopping in and hope to see you soon :)
2.8.2010: snowpocalypse.
Greetings all! Hope you're enjoying the current snowpocalypse :)

I just finished updating my "2009 Prints" section- including some newer etchings. I've also added photographs of my latest book and images from a photoshoot in January.

Exhibition wise, I'm currently showing Polaroids at the Rebus Works in Raleigh, NC at a show called Plastic CameraWorks2. I also have an assortment of images from central Pennsylvania on display at the Gamble Mill Inn in Bellefonte, PA in a group show curated by my friend and colleague, Ellie Taraborelli.

Event wise, get ready for the second edition of The Philadelphia Independent Craft Market's "Pabst Blue Ribbon Craft Challenge!" Last year, with the help of Luke Leyden, we took home second place- booya! It is on Saturday, February 27 at the 2424 Studios Skybox (2424 York Street, Philadelphia, PA) from 3-10pm! There will be cool art and crafts and PBR flowing all evening- hope to see you there!
11.11.2009: fall updates!
Greetings!

First and foremost- I will be participating in two holiday events in Philadelphia in December- so mark your calendars to support local artists!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5TH: CRAFTY BALBOA @ the Broad Street Ministry. The first 50 people there get free totebags of goodies . . . maybe you'll get one of my coupons for a free greeting card? Guess you have to come and find out. For all of the info: http://www.craftybalboa.com/

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19TH: InLiquid's A VERY KENSINGTON CHRISTMAS @ Greensgrow Farms. (this is a full two weekend event but I've only signed up for one date) Check InLiquid.com or email me for more info :-)

Otherwise . . . I've got a lot of new prints coming down the pipeline- including some new etching ventures! In the mean time, I've posted some new photography and polaroids (Flickr's "'roid week 2009" was last week!) for you to check out.

Hope to see you in December!
